Postdoctoral Position – Virus-Mediated Genome Editing in Plants
The Dinesh-Kumar Laboratory at UC Davis is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to develop innovative virus-mediated genome editing technologies in plants.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of plant virology, genome editing, and synthetic biology, with substantial freedom to develop new ideas and research directions in a highly collaborative environment.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
• A PhD in Plant Biology, Virology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Synthetic Biology, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience working with plant viruses.
• Experience in molecular cloning, molecular biology, protein expression, and related approaches.
• A strong record of research productivity.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive projects independently.
• Experience with CRISPR/genome editing, viral vector engineering, plant transformation, or synthetic biology is a plus.
