The BRET (Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer) assay system to study ATG4 activity.

Congratulations to former postdocs Jongchan Woo and Eunsook Park and other authors for a nice piece of our lab work published in Nature Communications

In this paper, we used a bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET)-based high-throughput screening (HTS) strategy and identified chemicals that interfere with fungal Atg4-mediated processing of Atg8, which is critical for fungal autophagy and pathogenesis.
